About Dr. Huff

Scott Huff, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with advanced specialization in shoulder and elbow care. He has completed an ASES- and ACGME-accredited fellowship in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, a nationally recognized center for complex upper extremity care. He will be joining Hand & Microsurgery Associates on October 1, 2025.

Dr. Huff earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for academic excellence. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Wright State University, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident and dedicated a full year to orthopedic research. Throughout his training, Dr. Huff developed a strong foundation in trauma care, sports injuries, and joint reconstruction, with growing expertise in minimally invasive and outpatient procedures.

A passionate researcher, Dr. Huff has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on orthopedic trauma, joint preservation, and surgical innovation. He has presented his work at leading national meetings, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Mid-America Orthopedic Association.

Dr. Huff is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society and the American Orthopaedic Association’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Huff enjoys hiking national parks with his wife, cycling, and woodworking—particularly crafting live-edge tables and custom furniture.
