Paul A. Cook, MD

Paul A. Cook, MD, is a nationally renowned board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a certificate of added qualification in Hand and Microsurgery.  He started his career as an expert in microsurgery working with amputation, replantation, and trauma.  Today, his key specialties include minimally invasive treatment of fractures, and sprains of the hand, wrist, arm, and elbow; whether your injury occurred on the sports field, at home, or on the job.  Additional areas of focus in his practice include arthritis of the hand and wrist, as well as endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and cubital tunnel release. 

Dr. Cook is part of an exclusive team of microsurgeons on staff at Hand and Microsurgery Associates who are sought after not only by patients, but also by physicians across the country seeking to learn their innovative procedures. The origins of his illustrious career can be traced back to Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Cook completed his internship rotation and an orthopedic surgery residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He rounded out his postdoctoral clinical training with a hand surgery fellowship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Cook is active in numerous medical professional associations, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
