Have you been hearing about Telemedicine a lot in the media lately? Because of the requirement of healthcare facilities by state and federal governments to postpone elective treatments to conserve Personal Protective Equipment, HMA has greatly reduced its volume of in-house patients.
How does this affect my upcoming appointment with HMA?
You will be contacted if your upcoming appointment has been affected. If you’re not sure, you can call 614-262-4263 to inquire.
How do I make an appointment for Telemedicine at HMA?
You can make an appointment for Telemedicine simply by calling in at 614-262-4263. You will be sent some paperwork to fill out and email back, then HMA will call to schedule your Telemedicine appointment.
What kind of appointments qualify for Telemedicine?
HMA can see any condition through Telemedicine that isn’t urgent enough for on-premises attention. Call us to have any questions answered.
I’m not sure how to conduct a Telemedicine appointment. What kind of technology does that require of me?
You will need to use a computer with an email address to send in the requested information, and a way to take a picture of the front and back of your insurance card and valid driver’s license. This could be a cell phone camera or scanner. When it is time for your appointment, you will need a telephone (smart phone is best). We can conduct the appointment with you on an audio call only, or a video call application on your cell phone.
I have been seen at HMA before. Will my specific provider be available for Telemedicine?
Check with your specific HMA provider for a Telemedicine appointment with a call to our office at 614-262-4263.
We at HMA want you to know that we are here for you during this difficult time. We want to help our patients in every way possible, and that’s why we are now extending our care to include Telemedicine. Because to us, every health concern is important.
